Nina Simone, who passed away earlier this year. Then,
crank this one up loud. SF DJ/producer Marc Deon gets
things going on his MDEX label with this brand new (and
exclusive) EP from Tapio Schnaars. "Move You"
borrows Nina Simone's sultry voice for a chunky deep house
rub in the vein of JT Donaldson or Fred Everything: Warm
analog keys, subtle etherealism, fat and bouncy bass.
This is hot. Mix 2 is basically a dub, focusing on the
musicality of the original and giving a little bit more
time for the horns to do their thing. This record just
